Is it the composite tray developed by Zhejiang University of Technology in the picture?
It’s Sulzer’s. Side baffle distributor + MELLAPACK PLUS type packing bar
This post was last edited by wu_pb on 2011-12-14 at 11:29. Just by looking at the distributor beam, it can be seen that it is a Sulzer internal component. Was this taken during the maintenance of which device? It has a pretty large diameter, and both the internal components and the casing are made of 304 material. I guess it might be a T-115 tower in some larger EO installation. I took a look at the manufacturer earlier – it turns out to be Wanhua; however, it seems that Wanhua does not have any EO installations. Maybe it’s MDI or TDI, that big player in Asia
It’s taken very clearly, but it lacks labels: downcomer, distributor, trap, redistributor, feed pipe, support ring, packing compression ring, and so on

This shouldn’t be considered leaking company secrets. You also didn’t send the manufacturer’s drawings; it was just some photos of the actual products. They can’t imitate it; if they try to copy it, they might end up drawing an owl instead. DSC05776.JPG There is some red substance in the tube of the photo; is it a polymer? Is the plate in front of the pipe an impact guard? Is it still a liquid collection tank there? I didn’t quite understand the structure. I hope it can be explained. I’m really curious to know what device it is? The tower’s diameter seems to be over 5 meters.
Reply to 2# Xibei Da Shitou: It can be confirmed that it’s not! The composite tray of Zhejiang University of Technology is a solid-valve tray with a small piece of packing attached to it. It looks to me like a narrow-slot distributor!
