How long can the slurry system remain out of circulation while continuous feeding continues?

My previous factory was shut down for 26 hours, and in the end the catalyst piled up about a meter above the manhole. Have you guys seen one that lasted longer?

It was shut down for 3 hours to carry out hot work on the leak in the slurry pipeline, and the reaction unit did not have its feed cut off.
The slurry circulation has stopped; how can the temperature and liquid level in the feed fractionator be controlled without cutting off the feed? Won’t this cause problems in the column? I’ve really never seen it before; I hope those with experience can share their insights.
First empty the liquid level, then reduce the feed to avoid flooding the tower.
