This year I took on a project that ran from the beginning of the year to the end; throughout the process, the client kept changing the specifications for the process package, which made things very difficult for us. Moreover, the design fee wasn’t high either. Sigh... The drawings are almost ready now, and they’ve requested an inspection. After reviewing it, they asked for a huge amount of changes, and it might not be finished until next year. Do you think the designer should have the owner review the drawings? The owner thinks this change is good, but although it doesn’t violate the regulations, it’s unreasonable. Do you think it should be changed or not? I think the owner is too smart, convinced that they’re definitely right. How should I deal with this? It hurts! ! ! !

Maintain the right attitude – treat yourself as a contractor; you can propose several design options, but don’t make decisions on behalf of the client.
One shouldn’t be too polite or accommodating to those homeowners who pretend to know things they don’t!
It is of great significance for the client to review the drawings; it is the greatest sorrow for a designer when the contents of the drawings they have spent half a day designing cannot be put into practice!
I know it’s very important, but the opinions given in the reviews cannot be implemented on the drawings, let alone in actual construction.
