I feel that those who work in design in China are essentially working for foreigners, and I’m worried about the future of this industry~

May I ask if the original poster works at a state-owned design institute or a foreign engineering company? If it’s a state-owned design institute, we feel the same way. If it’s a foreign engineering company, they’re willing to listen to your feelings!
I feel that for the new projects, especially those that are not yet mature or have not been undertaken in China, foreign process packages are used everywhere; even when efforts are made to adapt them locally, it is still based on foreign technology. Others make most of the money from selling patents, while we workers earn only a small portion~ It’s just my personal opinion; I don’t have much experience either~
The current situation is a result of the flaws in the systems and mechanisms that have accumulated over the years; it’s not something that design firms can fix. The same is true in other industries – in automotive, daily goods, electronics, and the cultural industry, innovation is difficult to achieve except through imitation
