I used to think it was just a professional technical job that required relevant vocational training, but I had no idea what kinds of training there were Is it necessary to obtain a certification for basic electrical skills?
The four main areas required by maintenance technicians are basic knowledge of electrical and electronic engineering, basic knowledge of instruments, knowledge of automation, and basic knowledge of instrument maintenance. The instrumentation section requires familiarity with the commonly used testing instruments and smart instruments. As for the control system section, one needs to have an understanding of simple and common complex control systems, as well as various computer-based control systems such as DCS, PLC, and fieldbus control.
