Are tower vessels manufactured in sections undergoed hydrotesting at the manufacturer’s site?

Some clients request that equipment manufactured in sections at the factory be produced as a single unit there; after passing the hydrostatic test, the equipment is then divided into two sections and transported to the site, where the joints are connected, and another hydrostatic test must be conducted. Do people think it is necessary to conduct hydraulic tests at the manufacturing plant?
A hydrostatic test is necessary. As for whether it should be carried out in the factory or after installation on site, that depends on what is agreed upon. Personally, I think it’s better to do it at the factory; this way, any issues that arise can be dealt with more easily
Equipment delivered in sections also requires a hydrostatic test at the manufacturing plant; a hydrostatic testing fixture should be installed for this purpose, and it is removed after the test before the equipment is shipped. After successful on-site assembly, another hydrostatic test is required. This test focuses on the weld joints at the section joints, as the remaining weld joints have already been tested and found to be satisfactory during the hydrostatic test conducted at the manufacturing plant.
I don’t see the need for it; after welding it, it still has to be cut open again, and that sheet of metal can’t be less than 3 meters long
