The shift leader immediately instructed the operators on site to shut off the valve upstream of the safety valve, and at the same time contacted the control room to increase the steam pressure in the pipeline network. The operators responsible for regulating flow reduced the flow rate by adjusting the external control valves, and the water supply valve to the steam drum was operated manually to maintain the proper liquid level. Under the effective leadership of the shift leader, the situation was quickly stabilized. At that time, seeing the liquid level in the steam drum drop so rapidly and finding that fully opening the water supply valve didn’t help was extremely worrying; thinking about it now still gives me a sense of fear.
How many years has the team leader been in this role? Awesome. First, close the safety valve manual valve; second, reduce the heat uptake from the outside; third, add water. What are the consequences? Tell me.
Why does the safety valve activate? It only trips when there is overpressure; doesn’t the valve seat return to its original position when the pressure drops?
It seems there’s a problem with the safety valve; it can’t be reset, and the pressure in the pipeline system has been released. Congratulations on resolving the issue successfully. If there are two safety valves, it’s fine to turn off one of them. If there is only one, it is still recommended to remove heat externally first to reduce the load and vent it.

The external heat safety valve has activated. If this has little impact on the pressure in your steam system and the steam turbine is operating normally, as long as attention is paid to maintaining an adequate water supply, there’s no need to worry about the boiler running out of water. If there is no overpressure, it is likely a problem with the safety valve; once the pressure drops, the safety valve should return to its original position. It is recommended to have the safety valve checked
We inspect the safety valves once a year. Not long ago, we encountered a situation where the pressure of the purified air was extremely high, which caused the safety valve in the purified air tank to activate. Even after the pressure returned to normal, the safety valve continued to leak, so we had no choice but to close the upstream valve connected to the safety valve

What is the size of the manual valve in front of your safety valve? It shouldn’t affect your piping system, right? Your steam system is way too fragile.
