I would like to ask those who use water-coal slurry systems produced by the Northwest Institute: what is the fault condition of the shut-off valves on the coal slurry pipeline at the outlet of the high-pressure coal slurry pump, as well as those on the pump’s return pipeline? I noticed that in the cases of the Northwest Institute’s systems, these valves are in the closed position. If that’s the case, could it damage the pump?
There’s no need to worry about this, as the slurry pump stops first in case of a fault, and the shut-off valve closes after a delay of 1 second
