It’s used to detect flames. The burner used in the caustic soda process is equipped with a flame detector. During ignition, if it is successful, the flame detector will send a signal indicating successful ignition, allowing the next step to be taken. If no flame is detected, an alarm will be triggered! During normal operation, the flame detector will also trigger an alarm even when no flame is detected!
