A high pressure difference between the coal slurry and the gasifier indicates that the slag discharge port might be blocked?
The pressure difference between the coal slurry and the gasifier depends mainly on the condition of the burners; a high pressure difference indicates that the burners are not severely worn, while a low value is not desirable. It is also related to the system load and pressure – when the load is high, the speed of the coal slurry pump increases, and generally the pressure difference is higher
The pressure difference is low; it’s possible that the slag outlet is blocked. If indeed a blocked slag outlet is causing such a low pressure difference, the person in question should run away as fast as possible – as far as they can go. Generally, when the slag outlet gets blocked, it is detected using other instruments, not this one
