Electrostatic tar catcher

This post was last edited by hao101029 on 2011-12-7 at 20:47. The electric capture current in my workshop has been unstable recently; could anyone tell me what’s causing this? Is it because there’s more tar in it? (Previously, it was sprayed with ammonia once every 3-4 months; now it’s done every half month.)
I don’t have any experience in this area; please help out out of friendship.
The original poster hasn’t provided enough details. What is the capacity of your electric precipitator, and which manufacturer is it from? Is the main issue during operation current fluctuations? Is it once or twice, voltage fluctuation? What is the current level? Is it a bit too long to rinse with ammonia solution every three or four months? What is the level of tar mist after electrostatic capture? The more detailed you are in your description, the more accurately others can help you analyze it.

Dimensions: 5200X14200; cross-sectional area: 14.1 M2. Current is less than 1400 milliamps, voltage: 32-45 KV
