The pump operates at a temperature of 240–300 degrees, with a flow rate of 2200 m3/h. At the current operating temperature of 240–260, the vibration level is high (exceeding 15 mm/s), while it is around 5 under normal conditions. The operating medium is heat transfer oil. Cavitation will not occur if the inlet pressure of the pump is above 8 kilograms. I couldn’t find the reason. Please help analyze it
It might be a pipeline stress issue. Try adjusting the pipeline supports.
Hot oil pumps with such high flow rates are very rare. Is it being operated away from the design conditions? You can try adjusting the operations.
Check the performance curve of the pump to see if the operating flow rate is within the stable range, and whether there are any significant deviations. Secondly, I think what should be checked first is the lubricant, to see if it has deteriorated or contains debris from bearing wear. If replacing the lubricant does not improve the situation, or if there are bearing debris inside, then the bearing needs to be replaced.
The introduction isn’t clear! It is necessary to describe the location of the measurement points, in which direction the vibration is most severe, the inlet and outlet pressures, the vibration level of the motor, and the bearing temperature; otherwise, one can only guess! Could it be that the bearing is worn out due to excessive operating time, or is the coupling misaligned?

Could it be that the inlet pressure of the pump is too high, causing the pump’s power to exceed its rated value and resulting in vibration in the pump? If the pumps in our factory experience excessive vibration, it is generally necessary to replace the bearing sleeves and thrust discs (for reference only)

The operations are generally in line with the performance curves; it is vibration on the non-drive side, while vibration on the drive side is not significant. The key is that it does not vibrate above 260 degrees, but only vibrates between 260 and 240 degrees. The maximum value is 20, and it is around 4 when there is no vibration. Has any hero encountered this before? Please advise
