Performance declines, flow rate is insufficient, and head pressure decreases. High noise and vibration can easily damage the bearings, reducing their lifespan ; In severe cases, it can cause scraping of the mouth ring or even locking. The blades are subject to cavitation corrosion; in severe cases, pitting and honeycombing occur, and eventually the corrosion penetrates through them. The pump casing can also be corroded due to cavitation.
