Obtaining stable carbon monoxide from coal

The CO generation units developed by the Saiding Coal Chemical Center have been introduced in Taiwan. These units utilize coke and CO2 in a reaction process: C + CO2 = 2CO. According to the information on Saiding’s official website, the company’s patented technology is used to produce high-purity CO. Here are some examples of projects carried out using this technology: 1. Jinan Petrochemical Plant No. 2 – 20,000 tons per year of formic acid production; our patented technology was used. Location: Jinan, Shandong, 1997. 2. Zhejiang Jiangshan Chemical Co., Ltd. – 120,000 tons per year of DMF (dimethylformamide) production; our patented technology was used. Location: Jiangshan, Zhejiang, 2002. 3. Shandong Feicheng Asde Chemical Company – 100,000 tons per year of DMF production; our patented technology was used. Location: Feicheng, Shandong, 2003. 4. Huaihua Fine Chemicals Co., Ltd. – 100,000 tons per year of DMF production; our patented technology was used. Location: Huainan, Anhui, 2004. 5. Inner Mongolia Yuanxing Jiangshan Chemical Co., Ltd. – 120,000 tons per year of DMF production; our patented technology was used. Location: Inner Mongolia, 2008. 6. Taiwan Dalian Chemical Industry Co., Ltd. – 600,000 tons per year of acetic acid production; our patented technology (EP) was used. Location: Taiwan, 2008. 7. Gansu Jinchuan Group Co., Ltd. – 10 kt/a of nickel carbonyl and 5 kt/a of iron carbonyl production; CO supply rate: 5,800 Nm3/h. Our patented technology (EP) was used.
