We have a process liquid storage tank that uses a 3N pump to drive the flow instead of a traditional pump; however, the flow meter readings fluctuate greatly at times. Does anyone know what could be the reason for this? Is it possible that bubbles in the mixture of nitrogen and liquid passing through the flow meter cause fluctuations? ?
It is normal for there to be fluctuations in the flow meter when there is gas in the liquid.

If the nitrogen is introduced from the bottom of the tank, meaning that gas is entrained in the liquid, the flow rate will fluctuate, resulting in inaccurate readings from the flow meter； Another reason is that nitrogen enters from above the liquid surface; fluctuations in nitrogen pressure cause the actual flow rate of the medium being delivered to change.
