When a bellows-type pressure reducing valve is used with steam, the bellows should be installed downward. Why? It depends on the direction of flow; when used with compressed air, the valve needs to be installed in the reverse direction. Why is that? Was this installed incorrectly? Valves are rarely installed in reverse, unless there is a specific requirement. Maybe it’s just that I’m not well-informed
