Can butyl alcohol be extinguished with water? I personally think it’s fine, because it can dissolve in water and won’t cause the fire to spread. There is a claim that fires involving SBA cannot be extinguished with water; please help me verify this. If possible, could you explain what kind of fires can be extinguished with water and which ones cannot? Thank you very much.
It seems quite simple; in the factory, I don’t feel any sympathy at all, since it’s not my own home anyway

In the event of a fire or leak involving SBA, misted water can be used to spray the escaping SBA and dilute it into a non-flammable mixture. In principle, water (in mist form) can be used to extinguish SBA fires; however, if there is a fire in another area where water could cause harm, other firefighting methods must be employed, such as water-resistant foam, dry powder, carbon dioxide, 1211 fire extinguishing agents, or sand. This is just my personal opinion, for your reference!
