Due to the severe corrosiveness of the medium, shell-and-tube heat exchangers experience leaks in the tube side and shell side after long periods of operation; to continue the production process, it is necessary to plug the damaged tubes. However, after multiple blockages in the pipes, it was found that the heat exchange area for the heat exchange gas was insufficient, which affected production to a certain extent. I’m asking if anyone has any good ways to compensate for calories?
There is no perfect solution. If water is used for heat exchange, it is recommended to use recycled water instead of river water. If a corrosive liquid is used for heat exchange, a glass cooler is advised. If nothing else works, one has to invest in a better cooler. As a last resort, it is suggested to use two coolers in parallel – fixing one if it breaks, and fixing the other if that one fails, or using them in series
In practice, when it gets clogged to a certain extent, it is replaced with a new one.
