Could you all share information about the status of such devices in your respective locations? Source of feed gas: Purified acidic gas and acidic gas containing amino acids from the stripping tower. Plant capacity: Designed for 21,800 tons. Technology used in the plant: SSR. Operation status of the plant: Not satisfactory; there are many discrepancies compared to the design. Name of the organization (can be left blank if it’s not convenient): xxx. Type and name of catalysts used: Aluminum-based catalysts for sulfur production, and cobalt-molybdenum catalysts for hydrogenation. For our former facility: The source of the feed gas is acidic gas from low-temperature methanol washing plus the stripping gas from the shift stripper. The capacity of the plant is 20,000 tons per year. The technology used in this plant is the super Claus sulfur recovery process (three-stage Claus + super Claus). The operation of the plant is not satisfactory, with significant deviations from the design specifications. Name of the company: (I have left the company, so it’s not possible to disclose it.) Types and names of the catalysts used: All are imported catalysts, aluminum-based and titanium-based Claus catalysts of models CRS-31 and CR-3S, as well as super Claus catalysts.
Raw materials: Acidic water stripping (containing acidic gases) + solvent regeneration unit (for cleaning acidic gases). Plant capacity: 5,000 tons per year. Technology used: SSR. Operation status of the plant: Not in operation yet; it will start operating once the weather warms up in spring, given that the Changqing low-sulfur crude oil has a low sulfur content. Types and names of catalysts: Sulfur production catalyst – component is alumina (not sure if this is correct); hydrogenation catalyst – cobalt oxide, molybdenum oxide

LS-931 is incorrect; it’s the LS-951 cobalt-molybdenum hydrogenation catalyst
Source of feed gas: Acidic gas from low-temperature methanol washing + stripping gas from the shift stripper. Plant capacity: 30,000 tons per year. Technology used in the plant: Three-stage Claus process. Operating condition of the plant: Fair; frequent shutdowns occur. Types and names of catalysts used: LS-811, LS-971, LS-931

The project mentioned above is indeed a Lurgi furnace. For a new project currently under development, the BGL system is being used, and phenol recovery is part of the overall process in the plant. However, among the acidic gases used for sulfur recovery, only the low-temperature methanol washing acidic gas is involved:) Super Claus is used for this purpose. Right now, we are only working on sulfur recovery; we haven’t yet addressed the balance of the entire plant, and it’s really confusing.
