What does \"coal lock gas\" mean?

I have just started working in the coal chemical industry, and there are many things I don’t understand. “What does “coal locking gas” mean? Could the experts please explain this? Thank you first

It’s actually crude gas, along with carbon dioxide, methane, and others.

Coal lock gas refers to the pressure-relief gas from the coal lock in a gasifier, also known as raw gas.
