This post was last edited by tclvjian on 2011-12-26 at 11:28. Wipe it with a cloth dipped in detergent solution; generally, the adhesive doesn’t stick well, after all, an anti-adhesive is applied to the backing before the coating is applied.
This post was last edited by tclvjian on 2011-12-26 at 11:29. A couple of days ago, while our factory was repairing the ion exchange membrane, the non-stick coating on that membrane came off easily just by rubbing it with our hands while checking for leaks using water mixed with laundry detergent!

Hello! Can a punctured ion membrane be repaired?
Reply to 5# pyg: It can be repaired using patching films and a patching machine; as long as it’s not the type with numerous punctures caused by breakdown
For the anode of our electrolyzer, we wiped it with a cloth dipped in cyclohexane; for the cathode, we scraped it with a knife and then wiped it with a cloth dipped in cyclohexane.
After the ion membrane is removed, it should first be soaked in a 0.4% sodium hydroxide curing solution. Do not remove the sealant around the outer edge of the ion membrane easily, to avoid accidental damage. When repairing the ion membrane, gently wipe it with a clean towel; it can be removed easily.
Where does the sealant on the ion membrane come from? There shouldn’t be any sealant on the membrane!
