Our company’s 20-ton boiler generates saturated steam, which is then heated in a tubular furnace to become superheated steam. However, a substance similar to scale always forms in the superheated steam pipes, causing blockages. I hope experts can help solve this problem

The water quality parameters are PH=11.91, alkalinity=1049.5mg/l, and chloride ions=361.3mg/l

If there are defects in the steam-water separation device in the drum (such as a detached cyclone separator or leaks in the casing that holds the steam-water mixture), an excessively high water level during operation can cause saturated steam to contain water, leading to scaling in the superheater. Solutions: 1) Inspect and address any defects in the drum when shutting down the boiler； 2) Control the drum water level properly during operation ； 3) Control the quality of the boiler water; in addition to ensuring that the feedwater quality is satisfactory, it is possible to increase the blowdown rate appropriately during operation.
