The Interim Provisions on the Supervision and Management of Major Hazard Sources of Hazardous Chemicals require that major hazard sources shall be entrusted to safety assessment agencies with appropriate qualifications, which shall conduct safety assessments using quantitative risk assessment methods in accordance with relevant standards, in order to determine the individual and societal risk levels. But how are these individual and societal risk levels determined? Thank you!
This requires software for quantitative evaluation, and it seems that such software costs several million.
~~Do evaluation agencies need to assess major hazard sources? The safety assessment I received didn’t include an evaluation of any major hazard sources... This is frustrating. Personal risk should refer to the explosion radius and degree of casualties in the event of an explosion, fire, or leakage from a major hazard source, while environmental risk obviously involves indicators such as the maximum amount of wastewater generated in the event of an accident involving such a source. I need to study major hazard sources further.
