A question about strength calculation?

In strength calculations, what is the criterion used to distinguish between individual holes and rows of holes in a boiler? ? I got confused about the formula for t 0; the formula explained by the teacher is different from one in the book. In this formula, if the two adjacent holes are elliptical, should the diameter be taken as the major axis or the minor axis? ? :lol

The criterion for distinguishing between single holes and hole bridges should be s0; currently, the latest version of GB/T9222-2008 applies； If the two adjacent holes are elliptical, the diameter is not determined solely by the major and minor axes, but rather based on the axes of the two holes.
