The place where I work uses pressure-resistant hydrocarbon sampling tubes to collect liquefied gas samples, and after collection these samples need to be vaporized and placed in aluminum foil bags. I hope everyone can help me figure out a method of vaporization that ensures no loss of the components after vaporization. Collect liquefied gas using a rubber sampling bag, for greater accuracy
Rubber sampling bags will absorb H2S, which affects sulfur analysis; (the national standard specifies a sulfur content of 343 kg/m3). It is best to use straight-pressure-resistant steel cylinders with valves at both ends, as this facilitates sample replacement and ensures representative sampling. If the chromatograph has a six-way valve for sample introduction, the samples can be fed directly from the cylinder. If it doesn’t have such a valve, the samples in the cylinder can be transferred into aluminum foil bags – under constant ambient temperature, the components of the sample mix relatively evenly!
Reply to 3# yeshujuan: My previous workplace also used gas cylinders for sampling, and the vaporization method was the same as what you mentioned. However, the sampling points that use gas cylinders are particularly prone to damage, and repairing them is also very troublesome. Therefore, sampling points using gas cylinders are not used in the newly installed units; currently, only pressure-resistant hydrocarbon pipes can be used for sampling, and the samples must be vaporized before they can be fed into the gas manifold valve. I hope everyone can help me think of a way to solve this problem, so that the sample gas in the hydrocarbon tube can be vaporized and transferred into the aluminum foil bag. Thank you.
