I’m not very clear about the system used to assign codes to the equipment in the factory’s PVC polymerization production workshops – codes like PU-3B, PU-4B, TK-1Ga, TK-3B, TK-8B, etc. What is the basis for assigning such codes? Why not use codes such as V5301 or PU-7301? Thank you!

It seems that each company has its own rules, with no uniform requirements.
There are rules for formulating these. V represents container-type equipment, T represents tower-type equipment, and P represents pump-type equipment. For example, V5301: V stands for container or tank, and 53 is the main item number. 01 is the serial number of similar devices. It is based on the rules for compiling device tag numbers and names.
