Why is the pressure at the top of the tower lower than the pressure at the bottom? Please help, thanks!
Simply put, the steam generated at the bottom of the tower flows upward; of course, it moves from areas of higher pressure to those of lower pressure. There is pressure loss as steam passes through the tray.
