Strictly speaking, the operating pressure and temperature of pressure vessels must not exceed the permitted values. Otherwise, the long-term safe operation of the equipment cannot be guaranteed. However, short-term overpressure and overheating, with the degree of excess being relatively small (for example, below 5%), is not uncommon in actual production. The design of the equipment definitely includes a safety margin. Just because of short-term overpressure and overheating, even if the magnitude is small, does that mean the equipment can no longer be used? I don’t think so. It is still better to have experienced equipment managers analyze it.
Pressure vessel design includes a certain safety factor; temperatures exceeding the permitted levels do not necessarily lead to problems, but it is absolutely not allowed as it poses safety risks. For the safety of the equipment and personnel, it is crucial to operate the equipment under its designated design conditions.
Pressure vessels must not operate at elevated temperatures, even for a short period of time; Pressure vessel regulations strictly prohibit the operation of such vessels at elevated temperatures; this is a serious violation ; Pressure vessels are designed with a safety factor of 2.5, but this factor should not be used to compromise the actual safety margin. In China, the yield strength of materials specified is based on an average value, not the minimum value; it becomes very dangerous once the safety margin falls well below this average value ;
It shouldn’t be possible; if it operates above the recommended temperature and an accident occurs, it will be the full responsibility of the user. One must be responsible for life! (Although occasional mild overheating generally does not cause any major safety problems)
