I would like to ask for advice: I have a Siemens valve positioner model PS10116-A-21. The DCS output at 4-20mA is working properly, but the valve doesn’t move; the air supply is fine. I’m asking everyone for advice.

Is the locator in automatic mode? Is there a problem with the feedback? Is there an issue with the valve stem travel affecting the feedback angle? Is there a problem with the DCS’s load-bearing capacity? If that doesn’t work, try using a different locator to identify possible faults. For example, if it’s a gas-actuated valve, it should be closed when there is no gas or no power supply. If everything is normal, proceed to the second step: check that the electrical and pneumatic signals are proper, and that the feedback rod does not come loose. 3: Switch the locator to manual mode and use the plus or minus buttons. At this point, whether you use the plus or minus button, you should hear a clicking sound coming from the locator, indicating that air is being released. If such a sound is heard, it means your valve is stuck; otherwise, it’s because the locator hasn’t been initialized. Remember to switch it back to automatic mode after initialization is complete. Another possibility is that you might not be able to carry out the auto-tuning function of the locator; in that case, you need to read the instructions more carefully and make the necessary adjustments
