I now want to convert the wastewater containing naphthenic acids after electrodialysis into naphthenes, and then use separation techniques to isolate them, thereby achieving a process for treating wastewater and reusing the waste acid. How can naphthenic acid be converted into naphthenes? I’m working at a company right now; I lack knowledge and hope for guidance from those with more experience!
Reply to 1# Bodhi Tree523: First, purify the organic substances, and then carry out a decarboxylation reaction. Check the specific conditions for decarboxylation reactions. I’ve done some of it before, and personally I don’t think it’s very suitable for industrialization.
