How do everyone’s factories set the time? Which pumps are set to allow instant shutdown and restart?
Generally, there are two approaches: one is to initiate the devices in batches; that is, once low voltage is detected, all devices are shut down, and then they are started in several batches according to the process requirements. This situation is generally used in locations where the power supply or transformer capacity is small. Another method is batch tripping: within a specified time frame, if the voltage returns to normal, the equipment does not trip; only after the power outage lasts longer are the devices tripped in batches based on their importance. In this case, the power supply capacity must be large.
Auto-starting upon power restoration is not allowed, except for some first-class loads.
Our factory’s equipment might be quite old; every time there’s a power outage, we have to follow the factory’s emergency procedures: first restore high-voltage power, then low-voltage power, and finally start up the critical equipment. I don’t know how to manage the factory’s power distribution after setting up this automatic startup feature.
