What is the wear-resistant effect of high-density polyethylene lining plates on coal storage hoppers?
The high-density polyethylene wear-resistant lining on the inner wall of our coal bin has been removed, as it didn’t hold firmly during installation and came off during operation, almost causing the system to stop working. Now that it’s gone, we find that the wear at the mouth of the coal bin isn’t too severe; the interior hasn’t been inspected for a long time now, and there’s quite a lot of buildup there. When the bin is empty, its weight increases by over 80 tons.

UHMWPE lining plates perform very well, but problems may arise if they are not installed professionally. We have been using it for 7 years, and the warehouse walls are clean with no deposits on them. During use, it should be noted that the unloading process should avoid impacting the lining as much as possible (do not feed material until the coal reaches the conical section), since ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene linings are wear-resistant but not impact-resistant.

There is no electronic version available. We use the ones from Henan. Actually, the materials are pretty much the same; the key lies in the method of use. This type of wear-resistant plate is only resistant to wear and not to impacts; therefore, impacts should be minimized as much as possible, and coal should not be added until it is running low.
