The 200,000-ton synthetic ammonia production project at Jinmei Zhongneng Chemical Co., Ltd. was carried out under the proper leadership and supervision of the company’s senior management. Through the hard work and determination of all employees involved in the construction and operation of the plant, the ignition test for the second-phase spacecraft furnace began at 21:30 on January 3, 2012. After making relevant process adjustments, the gasification furnace was successfully ignited at 05:13 on January 4. At 05:53 on the same day, the gasification furnace started operating and began producing syngas. Once the operating conditions stabilized, the syngas would be sent on to subsequent processes such as shift conversion and low-temperature methanol washing for trial production. The commissioning of the 200,000 tons per year synthetic ammonia feedstock route renovation project enabled the company to leverage its existing HT-L pressurized coal gasification technology to drive technological innovation.
