The overhead pipelines of the solvent regeneration system in this unit (hydrogen-handling system) are prone to corrosion, usually about once every six months. Have you encountered such a problem? Are there any effective preventive measures? Thank you
Strictly keep the process parameters within the specified range; the top of the tower temperature should be maintained at around 115°C/0.08 MPa(g). This ensures that the moisture at the tower top is discharged along with the acidic gases as steam, thereby reducing corrosion of the pipelines by those acidic gases. Additionally, corrosion-resistant materials should be used for the pipelines at the tower top.
