A 20 m3 reaction tank containing chloride ions (at a volume concentration of about 3%), where the reaction takes place at around 95°C for 2 hours? What material should be chosen for good corrosion resistance and heat resistance? Ordinary stainless steel can affect the quality of the products produced, so it is best to avoid using it. Also, I’m looking for relatively inexpensive materials; I hope teachers with experience in corrosion prevention can provide some recommendations!

Use high-temperature resistant fiberglass tanks or PVC tanks. The price of fiberglass is a bit lower.

Referencing the materials used in continuous reforming or isobutane dehydrogenation regenerators, higher requirements are placed on the materials due to the chlorine balance (chloride ions) involved during regeneration. The material of this device is currently SA240-316.

It is recommended to use fiberglass tanks, as they have good corrosion resistance, are cost-effective, and offer a high cost-performance ratio.
