How long has it been since you called home?

Everyone, how often do you call home? During my university years, I called home once a week, usually on Friday evenings, to briefly talk about my health and academic situation; I did this for 4 years. After starting work, I live alone outside and go home once or twice a year. My parents are getting older; their gray hair is increasing day by day, and their health isn’t as good as it used to be. Yet they still habitually wait for me to call home on Fridays. Even if I’m too busy to do so, they will definitely send me a text message on Saturday. My father doesn’t bother sending texts – writing a 20-character message takes him ages... From now on, I’ll make sure to call home regularly to let them know I’m safe, and I’ll visit them more often.
