If there is a tower with a pressure of 0.07 MPa, and the DCS display also shows 0.07 MPa, then in the event of a breach in the tower, will outside air enter the tower, or will the medium inside the tower leak out? Please help
The pressure indicated on the DCS is gauge pressure
MPA refers to gauge pressure, while MPAA refers to absolute pressure; the pressure you apply is higher than atmospheric pressure, causing the material inside the tower to leak outward
Your 0.07 MPA is gauge pressure, which is higher than atmospheric pressure, and thus there is leakage outward
MPA is gauge pressure, while MPA(a) is absolute pressure; therefore, there should be a leak outward. The pressure is less than one kilogram; I’m not sure what the pressure is for the material in the other stage you mentioned. If the pressure on the other side is greater than 0.07, it will leak inward.
First, confirm what your 0.07 MPa value represents. Check whether you are using a vacuum gauge or a pressure gauge, and determine whether the pressure gauge shows absolute pressure or relative pressure
