Bubble point test: The bubble point test is based on a capillary model. The structure of the filter membrane is filled with microporous channels, which form numerous \"capillaries.\" When the filter membrane is completely wetted by the liquid, the liquid remains inside the membrane due to surface tension; to force the liquid out of these membrane pores, an external gas pressure is required. The minimum pressure required to overcome surface tension and completely expel the liquid from within the membrane pores is known as the bubble point pressure of the filter membrane, which is what we commonly refer to as the bubble point
