Why does the tower need to be preheated when it is started up and fed with material? How long should the preheating time generally be?
Generally, before starting up the tower, its operating conditions need to be adjusted in advance, and then cold material is fed in for processing! Of course, there are those who drive directly as well, but it’s not done in a proper manner, and accidents are likely to occur!
Materials expand when heated and contract when cooled; preheating allows equipment that contracts to expand gradually and evenly, usually over a period of about three hours.
Ensure that the tower and packing reach their operating conditions before normal operation, in order to avoid accidents caused by thermal expansion and contraction!
