What is the resistance value of the cut-off valve limit switch, and how can one determine whether it is functioning properly?
The limit switch of a cut-off valve is generally ON/OFF; in simpler terms, it refers to an open circuit or a closed circuit. It is a digital signal, and the so-called resistance is merely the resistance value of the circuit cable! It serves to remind the operator whether the valve has moved to the correct position or is in line with the set output!
The resistance value of the cut-off valve limit switch depends on the type of limit switch chosen; some use travel switches, and their resistance values are as mentioned on page 2. There are also proximity switches that utilize capacitors, inductors, etc., and their resistance values when in the off or on state are determined by their characteristics.
A limit switch, which can be understood as a feedback mechanism for valve position, has two states: on and off. When it is on, the resistance is zero or extremely low; when it is off, the resistance is infinitely high.
