I was very envious at the time, but I always thought that the main business of foreign companies in China is sales. Everyone who works in PetroChina knows that to get along here, you have to rely on connections. If you don’t have connections, build your own connections, otherwise you will be miserable. But I have never wanted to stay here forever since I joined. I don’t want to watch those people who graduated from technical secondary schools rely on connections to climb up and dominate and boss me around. Two years later, due to various reasons, the departments were integrated and assigned to other departments, but they were still engaged in the gas business. Of course, during this period, everyone who had connections relied on connections to get into relatively good departments. I didn't. I didn't want to waste the efforts of the past few years. Life in the new department is confusing and painful. First of all, we are stepchildren and are squeezed out everywhere. Before the department was disbanded, we were in a competitive relationship with this department. Now the leader of this department wants us to be finished immediately, so we are in trouble everywhere. ； The second is that there are fewer projects, the bosses don’t pay attention to it, and many opportunities are missed. For a long time, I supported this stall alone, but I still did not give up the exploration of the profession. This is my only belief. Two years is not enough. This continued for another three years, until 2010, when the internal and external difficulties reached an extreme, which made me fully aware of the harshness of the world. There was no hope of promotion, and there was almost no support for the business in the company. The old leader was about to be transferred, and at this time I met my girlfriend, and I felt that I had to consider the issue of livelihood. At this time, a headhunter came to me. After getting to know this foreign company, although I had never heard of it, there were acquaintances from previous projects, and my thoughts popped up again and again. I jumped from a small town in Hebei to Beijing, and my salary increased from more than 2,000 to more than 12,000. Of course, it was before tax. I didn't pay attention to this before and after tax at the time. After staying in a state-owned enterprise for a long time, my salary was after tax. I took it for granted that what I got on the OFFER was what I got. As a result, I became ignorant. Job Sales Technical Support. Frankly speaking, my spoken English is quite poor. I used to study technical information only by reading, and there was no chance to communicate directly with foreigners. However, this company's products have just been promoted in China. Only by communicating with foreign factory engineers can I master the performance. It was very stressful at first, especially communication. Secondly, there was the salary. As mentioned before, there was a gap, but I accepted it. Finally, there was the pressure of life. I never thought about frugality in the past. In that city, the usual business trip allowance is enough to live on. There is also a bonus at the end of the year, and I have 50,000 left a year. It doesn’t matter, life in that city is very comfortable, but in Beijing, money is scarce. At the end of 2010, my girlfriend came to Beijing to find me and rented a one-bedroom apartment near the company for 2,000 per month. The total monthly living expenses were almost 3,000. I bought a two-bedroom apartment in my hometown of Tianjin in the middle of 2011. The monthly mortgage payment was more than 3,000 yuan. After paying off the loan for 30 years, the more than 9,000 yuan I got was obviously not enough. My girlfriend still has no job, and I finally realized that a better life is still far away from me. At work, just one month after I joined the company, it was acquired by another large company, one of the top five in the world. This was a shock to us, because our products are very average. Small companies are fine, but entering a large company will cause great sales pressure. An acquaintance I met not long ago jumped away. In fact, he also considered that there was no way to make money here, and also wanted to give up this position to me. I have been supporting the technical and partial sales work of this TEAM alone since then, because the other people are not professional. Although my English is not good, I think it should be easy to be promoted to the technical manager position. In this way, the salary can be almost doubled, and the pressure of life is much less. As a result, after working hard for more than a year, the position has not changed. Now think about it, in the past year or so, even though I have been to the United States for training, and even though I have been responsible for the technical selection, quotation, training and sales of nearly ten products, I feel that compared to PetroChina, my grasp of the technological frontiers of this industry is much weaker. Most of them are product selections that I thought had no future at all. Models and technical services, I think this kind of work is repetitive and boring, with no future at all. In terms of technical experience accumulation, 5 years of experience is enough in this area. Moreover, these products have obvious technical shortcomings. In this fully competitive industry, there is no future at all. As the New Year approaches, I learned that the department has been reorganized again. Next year is unknown. Now, I really want to further my studies and improve my career depth, but the huge mountain of mortgage, girlfriend, etc. weighs me down, and I don’t have the time or money to study. * . This life may be like my work experience in the past few years, destined to wander. Finally, I would like to share with you my experience in foreign companies.: I don’t know about the project company and the design institute, but in various foreign company offices, especially American-funded companies, foreigners only care about sales figures, and everything will assess you based on sales figures. Whether it is sales or technology, Americans are very unkind and will not care how much you have contributed to the company. As long as the numbers are ugly within a year or two, your position will be in danger. The bigger the company, the more so. This is the rule of the game they set, so the sales of foreign companies are very fluid, and many are not active, but passive job-hopping. Sometimes, a medium-sized foreign company is usually pretty good. The medium-sized American company before it was acquired was pretty good, and the relationship between colleagues was good. As a technical engineer, I communicated with American technical directors and experts. Although my spoken language is very poor, they were very willing to share their experiences with me. Many experts have worked for this company for more than 30 years. An Indian factory director in Chicago has even worked for more than 40 years. He joked with me that when he came to this company, most of his colleagues were not born yet. But in large foreign companies, it’s all about academic qualifications, race, ancestry, and foreign language. Although many people say that I joined a large foreign company based on my skills without going to college, he will definitely be in a very low position unless he changes. I hope it helps everyone.
