Volumetric flow rate (it doesn’t really matter for liquids; it probably refers to compressed gases), and the results of measurements are generally given in cubic units! However, we often see that the instrument displays standard square units, which have been calculated after taking the process conditions into account! If precise measurement is required, temperature and pressure compensation is also needed!
For gases, it’s possible to measure in cubic units or standard cubic units; it depends on the requirements you specify to the manufacturer. Either method is acceptable, but gas measurements generally require temperature and pressure compensation. . Our units are usually cubic meters. .
