A normal width is sufficient. There are three options: 700, 900, and 1200

For vertical oil tanks with a height greater than 5m, spiral stairs or inclined stairs should be used. The horizontal oil tank cluster combined platform shall be equipped with inclined ladders, at least two in number. Anti-slip steps should be provided in areas on the roof of arch-shaped tanks that are frequently walked on.

Code for Design of Oil Storage Tanks (GB50074-2014), Section 6.4 Tank Accessories, 6.4.1 Vertical storage tanks shall be equipped with ladders, platforms, and handrails at the top of the tank. Vertical storage tanks with a height greater than 5m should be equipped with spiral ladders.
