The resistance of the mixed-bed resin is low

The resin that was newly installed in our mixed-bed system has been in use for about 4 months; after regeneration, its resistance only reached 5 megohms. It was used for roughly 40 hours, and there were no issues with the quality of the regenerating acids and bases nor with the regeneration process itself. I suspect that the problem lies in the poor quality of the resin itself (it’s domestic-made). Please share your opinions.
The quality of domestic resins is also very good; there is no difference between domestic and imported resins. If there are no issues with backwashing stratification, regeneration flow rate, concentration, regeneration dosage, or resin mixing, the possible reasons could be: 1. The wrong type of resin was selected, or the ratio of anionic to cationic resins is incorrect； 2. The new resin has quality issues; it is possible that used resin is being passed off as new ； 3. Short service life due to operational issues during use ； 4. The quality of the raw water suddenly changes, or there are issues with the water supplied from the previous processing stage.
There are no issues with the water quality or the operation, so I suspect the problem lies with the resin. It’s not that domestic resins are of poor quality; I’ve used them before as well. Later, the company chose this supplier because of its lower price.
