The nitration mother liquor can be returned to the nitration system for reuse, while the H-acid mother liquor can be used to extract sulfuric acid AN. If hydrogen reduction is employed, no solid waste is generated; however, if iron reduction is used, iron sludge is produced which must be sent to iron smelting facilities for treatment. The waste gas consists of nitrogen oxides generated during the nitration process, and its emissions can meet the standards after absorption.
