How should these be understood?

The upper limit of the MSH MV range and the lower limit of the MSL MV range serve to define the output MV. For example, if MSH is set to 80% and MSL to 20%, manual output of MV can only produce values between 20% and 80%; values below 20% or above 80% cannot be outputted.
