Two containers have been received; the maximum operating temperature for both is set at 380 degrees. The pressures are 2 MPA and 10 MPA respectively. For the former, 16MnR is intended to be used, while for the latter, 15CrMnR is planned to be used. There is a 3-mm thick stainless steel lining inside, and a 3-mm thick stainless steel surfacing layer on the outside. I’m not sure if it’s possible I hope Haiyou can give some advice

It is not advisable to determine the material solely based on pressure; it is better to take the medium into account as well. If pressure is the factor in question, the same material can be used for both cases; Taking pressure factors into account, high-strength steel should be chosen for materials under high pressure ; Hydrogen-resistant steel is only used when the hydrogen partial pressure in the medium is high.
From the perspective of temperature and pressure, there are no issues. If the diameter is not large, 16MnR is sufficient; however, if the diameter is larger, it’s better to use a high-strength steel such as 13MnNiMoR. But why is external surfacing used?
Isn’t it a good idea to use a composite plate of 15CrMoR and stainless steel?
