Why does the coal tank keep exploding?

Lately, whenever coal has been loaded and the coal tray bottom plate is removed, a sound similar to that of an explosion is heard. The loudest occurrence caused the glass in the smoke duct on the machine side to shatter. What is causing this?
It might be the sound caused by the chain being a bit loose and the sprocket teeth not engaging properly, resulting in slippage.
It has happened a few times here as well; since I haven’t experienced it firsthand, I guess it was a coal dust explosion caused by an ignition source.
It occurs infrequently, but the cause has not yet been identified!
