I would like to ask everyone: there are some flanges at the construction site that cannot be involved in the joint pressure testing; they can only be installed after the pipeline pressure testing is completed, and they are used to connect valves or splices. Does this flange require a separate pressure test?
No pressure testing is required; no problems have ever been found with the flanges
For flanges, the material and dimensions are the main aspects that are inspected; ultrasonic testing may also be required, but pressure testing is not necessary

Pipeline components should preferably be able to undergo pressure testing, which is used to check the overall strength of the pipeline. If it is not possible to participate in the pressure testing for special reasons (such as pipe ends that are directly welded to the equipment), welding can be carried out after the pressure testing is completed; such joints are generally referred to as \"golden welds\" and require 100% flaw detection. When welding gold joints, the following points should be taken into account: 1. Complete the welding in one go. 2. Use a skilled welder to ensure success on the first attempt. 3. During pre-welding grinding, make sure that any residues do not fall into the pipeline. 4. Perform symmetric and even welding to avoid excessive welding stress.

Generally, flanges that cannot be used for pressure testing are subjected to RT testing or other inspection methods after the testing is completed; however, problems with such flanges are not common
