Dear experts: I am in urgent need of a solution for the desulfurization of wet-tannin gum. Given the strict environmental regulations in this area, neither vanadium pentoxide nor alkaline solutions are allowed to leave the factory and enter the external rainwater system in case the desulfurization liquid leaks onto the ground. It depends on how the leakage occurs; if the amount of leakage is large, there should be corresponding emergency plans. If the leakage is minor, simply cover it with soil and then recover it into the system.
It is recommended to construct embankments of a certain height around the desulfurization lean liquid tank and the spray regeneration tank, as well as an accident handling tank to temporarily collect any leaked desulfurization liquid; after sedimentation, this liquid can be returned to the system for reuse.
Desulfurization liquid handling equipment is designed to last for a specified period of time, and it is generally not supposed to leak, except in small areas such as pipes and valves. The handling of vanadium pentoxide and alkalis usually takes place in workshops; if there is any potential for leakage, measures should be taken early to prevent it.
